“And then they all huddled close to the fire trying to warm there bodies cold from the rain outside the cave. Then finely they heard a sound outside the cave! It was the pitter-patter of feet on the stone floor, fallowed by a ‘woof woof!’ Jack jumped up for joy and ran over and embraced what made the noise, was none other then there dog that had been lost at sea too! The dog licked his face and wagged his tail as Jack brought him back inside and dried him off, everyone was so happy to see the pup again! They forgot about the storm outside……..--and that’s the end of chapter 6.” the soft voice chuckled and closed the book.
It was a lovely day outside today about noon now, and a few of the city’s children were sitting around a bench in the Arboretum District. Flower were in bloom to so the whole place looked rather peaceful and inviting. The best place for the older man [least older then the kids] to read to the children of the city, they seemed to enjoy it and so did he, why not? They could learn and he could entertain someone.
“C’mon please read some more!” one of the kids squeaked, a young imperial. “yea yea yea!” the other one nodded and a few others joined in before suddenly heard there names being shouted out in the distance. “nope its lunch time, you all better scurry home!” he stated. “but we ALL don’t have to go!” one little girl giggled. “ah that wouldn’t be fair young lady.” he smiled and shook his head, strange color greenish hair, more peculiar was the pair of glasses on his face, it was almost uncommon for people to wear glasses. “ah oh no I feel I feel so weak!’ he gasped and rolled over onto the grass. “ahh!” the remaining kids tackled him to the ground, dog-pile-style. “haha I cant breathe!” he gasped and giggled as they tickled him and each other. They played for a few moments longer till each kid left one by one, until only the male remained.
He slowly sat up and then stood dusting off and picking a few leafs out of his hair and fixing it how he liked it again he sat back up on the bench and straightened himself up some.
