CRIMSON SCARS
"Soon, Sithis will give the sign, the time will be right, and the Crimson Scars will strike."
¯Greywyn Blenwyth
The Crimson Scars was a powerful vampiric organization that existed during the Third and Fourth Eras. It was created and led by Greywyn Blenwyth Tamriel's most powerful vampire assassin. The Scars were originally founded in order to destroy the Dark Brotherhood and then to replace it as the foremost assassins guild in Tamriel. The Scars were ambushed by the Dark Brotherhood who had gotten word of the rebellion, and were dispersed. The remaining Scars fled with Greywyn and secluded themselves in Blackwood and the town of Weye and would not be heard from again until the chaos created by Mathieu Bellamont within the Dark Brotherhood was at an end and the Dark Brotherhood was near the brink of ruin, during which time the Resurector took advantage of the Brotherhood's weakness and reorganized the Scars and rebuilt their base at Deepscorn Hollow. He then proceeded to restablish the Scars former power and reputation at the expense of the Dark Brotherhood.
Story: One of the most notorious vampires of times long past, Greywyn Blenwyth, had joined the Dark Brotherhood with the intention of one day converting all of his fellow brethren into his kind. He realized that although vampires are accepted within the ranks of the Dark Brotherhood, the notion that it could be a future requirement could anger existing members or possibly dissuade others from joining its ranks. By carefully forging an alliance with several key members of the Dark Brotherhood at the time, Greywyn was confident he could either sway the rest of the members into adopting his ways, or dispatching those that didn't. He spent the better part of a year "turning" opponents to his side, and using his allies to rid the Dark Brotherhood of the others.
He dubbed his splinter faction The Crimson Scars; a name derived from the unusually vicious neck lacerations left by his assassins and their jagged blades. The final turning point in Greywyn's dark plan called for the swift execution of the current upper echelon of the Dark Brotherhood in one massive, cautiously executed strike. Unbeknownst to Greywyn, one of the members he had turned, a Dunmer named Silarian, was not enamored by the thought of his newfound vampiric power, as it came with too high a price. By informing the Black Hand of the Dark Brotherhood of Greywyn's upcoming betrayal, Silarian was able to quell the rebellion before it started. The second purification in the history of the Brotherhood was executed that night, and the entire sanctuary died in a sea of blood.
Greywyn somehow escaped the carnage and retreated to a cave he had discovered earlier in his travels, which he aptly named Deepscorn Hollow. From this lair, Greywyn, now alone, devised a way to bring his plan back to fruition. He sent messages across Cyrodiil, seeking those who would join his cause, but to no avail. Within the Hollow, he constructed a Shrine to Sithis and prayed for absolution and a way to bring his quashed dreams back to reality. Many a mortal died at the hands of Greywyn in the following days, all in an attempt to appease his Dark Master. Finally, his prayers were answered, but Sithis demanded a price. Sithis would approve of the Crimson Scars, only if Greywyn would renounce his vampiric ways and become mortal once again as a punishment for the betrayal of his brothers.
With a heavy heart, Greywyn labored to create a cure for the disease in his veins. Finally, a musty tome recovered from a ruined fort bore the answer: Purgeblood Salts. Greywyn spent months roaming the land gathering the ingredients he needed to complete the salts and to refine them properly. When all his preparations were complete, Greywyn approached the Shrine of Sithis for one last prayer. As he intoned the first verse of his dark prayer, he felt a piercing pain explode across his back. The Dark Brotherhood had finally tracked him down.
HQ: The Crimson Scar sanctuary is very large and massive. Some would think it is a castle that was placed undeground. The Crimson Scar sanctuary is dark, damp and cold. The only light come from the torches in the hallways and the candles in every room. Aside from the small sunlight that shines upon the garden of VenomGrowth. The santuary has many rooms and places on which any member can make themselves at home. It was built by a large group of vampires long ago. The survivors of the Crimson Scars "adopted" the location and took over. It sits on the tip of Black wood and spreads to the start of topal bay. There are but three entrances/exits. One hidden under a stone that is rested inside a bush, the other inside of a tree and the last entrance and exit is underwater. It is a fortress and headquarters only known to members of the Crimson Scars. Most of the headquarters is finished, however there are empty sections that are being built upon.[/color]

Armory: The armory contains a vast array of clandestine and sinister weapons. Knives and daggers, enchanted or normal to swords and shields and armors of all special type. The armory is used by medium or high ranking members of the Crimson Scars, low ranking members must kill their assigned prey during a contract their way without having to use the weapons from the armory. Once they reached the right level that way, access to the armory is granted.
Dining area: A huge room with a large dining table. Above it are people hanging, very useful for feeding whenever the Crimson Scars have a special celebration or event. The table only has venison, rat meat, human hearts, Daedra hearts, boar meat, mutton and every other meat in Cyrodiil as vampires are carnivorous.
The assassin`s quarters/Bedroom area: The guild leader and high ranking members each has their own special room. A large, delux coffin is placed inside, with special carvings and markings on them. Their room has closets and furnitures inside that they can place their own items and apparel for their own personnal use. RANKS--
Dark Minion/lowly murderer:The lowest ranking of the Crimson Scars, these minions are sent to murder anyone in the name of Sithis and are expected to do so.
Servant/slayer: Murderers and killers who surpassed the Dark Minion stage. They are given priviliges in the HQ and are presented with regular contracts and assassination orders.
Stalkers/Eliminators: Stalkers are the stealthy assassins who always do their contracts from the shadows, never to be seen at all. Only recommended for the assassin who wants to kill in secrecy. Those who may want a close encounter may want to avoid this rank. Stalker is a rank that can be chosen by any assassin that rises above servant.
BloodKin/assassins: Vampires that rose above the lower ranks and can now be blessed by Sithis himself. BloodKins are rewarded for their fierceness in combat and are praised for their unmatched ferocity. They are to be given respect.
Reavers/Executioners: A rank to be truly envied. Reavers have all the fun in the line of assassinations. Given tasks that seem impossible and suicidal. Reavers and Executioners are often aided by another murdered, BloodKin or eliminators. If a quest seems to impossible, they are aided by another assassin to help out.
Lords: Lords are higher class members of the Crimson Scars, they are given much privilage options and often do missions alone. They reap great rewards and weapon1s for their unmatched skill in the field.
Elders: Elders are to be feared and respected. Most notorious of assassins. Trained and mastered the deadly art of killing. These men and woman do not have to be old to be of age. The rank of elder signifies their quality to be old and masterful of all these perks and skills. Elders can command the low ranking murderers or take on a contract themselves. IF it does not interefere with the command of the Ancient.
Ancient: The most powerful rank in the Crimson Scars. The ancients are dangerous and ruthless. Bearing skill that many would think they have lived over four hundred years. In many cases, they do live over four hundred years and have eternity to learn new skills and powers. Young vampires are not known to become an Ancient..some not even an Elder. This rank can only be achieved through a lifetime if servitude to Sithis and the Night Mother.
Five Tenets: A member of the Crimson Scars must follow five rules known as the Five Tenets. The Scars give no more than two chances to a member who breaks to tenets. If broken more than twice, death is inevitable, but like most of their practices and rules it is probably similar to the Dark Brotherhood's method. The Crimson Scar five tenets are similar to the Dark Brotherhood's but with minor differences.
1. Never dishonour Sithis. To do so is to invoke the wrath of Sithis.
2. Never betray the Crimson Scars or its secrets. To do so is to invoke the wrath of Sithis.
3. Never disobey or refuse to carry out an order from a Crimson Scar superior. To do so is to invoke the wrath of Sithis.
4. Never steal the possession of a Dark Brother or Dark Sister. To do so is to invoke the wrath of Sithis.
5. Never kill a Dark Brother or Sister. To do so is to invoke the wrath of Sithis.
