'Are you going to stay the night or what?' Seraph looked over her shoulder at the innkeeper, who had follwoed her out to the 'deck'. 'Uhm....Naw, I don't think so.' She cast her eyes out over the water again, looking intently at it, searching.... 'Then would you kindly shove off! We don't need some half crazy Breton scaring away the...What?!' He broke off, mid rant, as Seraph dived into the sea with a gleeful cry. He rushed to the handrail and looked out over the water. '...I wanted you gone, but you could've used the flaming gangplank! What do you think you're doing?' Seraph looked up, wiped water out of her eyes, and grinned. 'Fishing, sirrah, fishing.'

(hehe) Elja the more or less 'intresting' Highelf was sitting near the docks reading one of the many books from a seemingly endless stack that sat by him. "hum?" he heard a splash and looked up from his book.

Seraph waved jovialy at the High Elf that peered at her. 'Oh, don't worry about me: I'm an alchemist, and I need some more slaughter fish scales. Thing is, the things don;t come near the surface unless someone jumps in. Then they try and take a bite out of you. Hence the armour.' She took a deep breath, readied a shock-touch spell, and dived down again.

Seraph bobbed back to the surface, a slaughter fish's jaws locked about her upper arm. She reached over with her other hand, and touched it. Instantly the jaws fell slack, and the fish died, ripples of lighting flickering across it's scales. After the spell died away, Seraph tossed the fish onto the walkway. 'Watch that for me, would you please? I'll give you some of the scales as payment if you want.'

Elja looked shocked and freaked almost as if she'd shoked him! he gasped and scooted away from the dead fish like it was going to eat him then slowly aproched like a scared dog seeing a new toy but not sure if it was safe. he poked its tail, nerves alone made the fish wiggle slightly and Elja jumped like a cat!

((XD Oh dear. *lol* I know the fish are ugly, but THAT ugly?))
Seraph resurfaced again with another fish, and pulled herself out of the water and onto the walkway. She looked at the Elf oddly. 'Hey, don't look so panicky, their dead now. The only way they can hurt you is if you poke one of their fangs. And you'd be silly to do so.' She pulled a short knife from her boot and started to scrape the scales from the fish.

Seraph looked up and smiled kindly. 'I'll use them to make potions: it's part of my training, you see, to be able to make potions from scratch.'

Seraph shaded her eyes with one hand and looked up at the High Elf. 'Yes, I am in the Mages guild. I sometimes teach illusion magic to students, but most of the time I'm sent on jobs all over the place.'

He nodded with a smile. "that seems like fun, hehe im just not realy go at or for anything." he laughed quitely then huffed sitting down. "ew they kind of smell dont they?" O-o he looked at the fish. "w-what are you going to do with it when youve striped it?"

Seraph grimaced in agreement. 'Yea, they stink even more if you don't get the scales quick enough. After I've got them all, and I nearly have, I'll crush them to a fine powder, using a mortar and pestle, and that powder can then be used with other ingredients to make potions. 'Working for the mages guild is kinda fun: but currently we're at 'war' with the necromancers....They keep trying to assault the university.'

Seraph rubbed the back of her neck. She'd gotten all the scales now, and she started putting them into her mortar. 'Well, if you ever want to join the Mage's Guild, I'll put a good word in for you. ^^ You think you've seen necromancers? Where did you see them? They can't have been this close to the University already.....?'
