Yggdrasil leaned back in the chair, at the pub he was in. He wasn’t drinking the mead in front of him it was for show. He was more interested in the conversation the three ‘men’ were having.
“Hmm…Richard I don’t know this amulet feels full of immense power…what did that kid say again?” a rather pretty Breton woman spoke as she looked at an amulet. That’s what caught his attention something like that must be valuable and it was shiny.
“He said the emperor gave it too him. He said he had to take it too Jauffree.” The Nord like man named Richard said looking down at the small boy that was in front of the fire who was playing with a small white dog.
“This boy is one of the last besides that blade that was down there to see the emperor alive.” A gruff looking Imperial said.
“Canderous…I wonder…Garza could that be the...”
“Shh!” she hissed. “No one can know we have it.” Richard shut his mouth quickly. “Sorry love but if this is what we think a can of worms is about too…” she looked down at the table the Amulet was gone. “By the nine!” she hoped out of her chair and looked around. “Where is it!” “What do you mean!” Richard and Canderous said at the same time, though Canderous’ sounded more like a growl. “Richard, Canderous…I think someone just stole the Amulet of Kings…” She said fearfully looking to her Nord lover and there Imperial friend.
----
Yggdrasil had vacated that place real quick, he was glad they didn’t notice he was in there. He had just gotten done buying Hieronymus drinks, and he had to leave for duty in the morning…the man was severely drunk. He had a bad day another run in with notorious thief the Gray Fox.
He placed the Amulet in his pocket, and climbed to a roof of a building. Hide at took out the amulet to have a look. His brow furrowed it looked familiar…his mother’s book. He took out the journal and flipped through the back pages. There it was… the amulet of kings the gift to St. Alessia and the ‘crown jewel’ of the empire. He glared at the Amulet; those who served it killed his mother and sisters. But as rumored went the emperor was dead now too. The man didn’t do it just misguided men, nor did this gem. He sighed. He stole something important and didn’t know where to take it…he herd something about a man named Jauffree as he left. He’d start asking, as those in Vardenfell said, ‘talk, and ask questions talk is cheap.’ He climbed down and went to have some cheap talk. He smirked as the thought about what he’d tell this Jauffree person, when he brought him the amulet. _________________________
Aegnor had just woke up earlier that day, and was still tired. He and Falcan were on there way to Kvatch via horse back, to break the siege. He didn’t mind helping honestly it’s just the grandmaster of the blades was rather…uptight, and rather stingy with information. It was like pulling teeth to get there questions answered. Aegnor rubbed his forehead just thinking about the man gave him a headache. But Kvatch needed saving, and apparently they were the only ones who could accomplish the task of closing the gates. They had stopped by the imperial city quickly for some last needed supplies that the blades couldn’t give them. He went to give a lecture at the mage’s guild about conjuration, while they were there. They were approaching Kvatch as it was and he could start to smell the fire and ash that came with oblivion. He was glad the priory gave them horses it will make this trip easier, they also had a third horse attached to his horse. And one horse for brother martin the heir to the empire. He looked up the road and to see an elf run past them screaming about deadra, fire and smoke.
“Well I guess were here…and that was a much nicer welcome than the last one we got...” (thinking back on the Oblivion gate in the mountains outside Chorrol) Aegnor said as the elf’s voice faded away “….run while you can….” Aegnor urged his horse forward. Shortly coming upon the camp the refugee’s made.

Also had woken up early, Falcan Nightrode, was on horse back wounds taken care of and new armor (light) on also his capes were on once again, it just made him feel better strangely. His mouth and nose covered he could still smell the fire and smoke. “that fun.” he smirked voice muffled by the cloth. This time he would wear his cape, he would need to be extra careful, BUT he had a few ideas of how it might come in handy, but of course prepared if he had to leave it in Oblivion somewhere. “Looks like ‘Fun’.” he smirked looking toward his Elven Comrade and then shook his head. His oddly colored eyes looking up at the smoke rising off the distant mountain top. He sighed closing his eyes a moment before looking upon the camp setout in front of them. He sighed the thoughts of Marten…the Emperor’s son, the Blades, and everything was overbearing…but he also felt he owed them, somehow.

Yggdrasil was ready to Punch this person in the face. she was annoying and wouldn't shut up. he asked if she knew where he could find jauffree, and has regretted it for the past two hours...
"miss i know how to get to chorrol.."
"oh i know you said that...and did you hear.." she continued to gossip with him. he was about to turn around and walk away seriously. but he was saved by Lex.
"ah Yggdrasil can i have a word with you..."
"yes," he turned to the noble looking lady " i really must apologize i have to go discuss something with my friend." he turned around and followed Hieronymus. they left towards the talos plaza gate.
"Jauffree, is in the priory just outside of chorrol on your way.: he handed a small bag to Yggdrasil. "deliver this for me and our bet is settled." he smiled at the elf. "see ya when you get back." and walked away "the bag goes to the Khajit who runs the oak and Crosier." he left Yggdrasil who walked out the front gate of the city...realiseing chorrol was a long walk...
"time to steal a horse...sorry lex hope your not the one too catch me." he said as he headed over to the stables when the owner spoke,
"ah good Hieronymus said you'd be coming, you are to use his horse. " she had by the reigns a stunning war horse.
"what kind of horse is this?"
"he calls it Lord and its a Frisian he said i do believe." Yggdrasil took the reigns he couldn't wait to try this beast.
~~~~~~
Aegnor dismounted his horse and asked the nearest person too him. "hello sir, can you please tell us were we can find the captain of this place. "
"its captain mantius, up on the top of the path he has a barricade." a priest said he looked utterly miserable. "thank you sir, may i ask will you be well?" "i lost so many of my fellow priest last night.."
"is one named Martin alive?" Aegnor asked quickly, almost afraid.
"yes last i knew Salvian Mantius will know more." "thank you kind priest, i have one small favor can you watch our horses?"he asked.
"yes i can please i wish you well and may the nine guide you." he said as he took Aegnor's horses reigns.
"shall we Falcan..what wrong?
Flacan seemed half dazed he quickly shook his head. “ah I-I am alright my friend.’ he sighed. “just, my head.” he nodded and brushed a hand though his hair and took a deep breath. Really his mind was spinning but not due to any ailment, but his mind poking apart his thoughts about the emperor the blades and so forth. He listened to the men talk then looked to the elf again and nodded. “well…to shut close another gate to Oblivion.” he smirked. “sounds interesting, lets see what we can do.” he nodded.
Aegnor nodded again. "they are such grouchy host." Aegnor sighed. "you'd think they'd be a little more welcoming the tourist business would flourish don't ya think?" he said with a smile as they walked up the to the top of the road. Aegnor's eyes widened at the sight of the barricade.
" i think we got here just in time.." he said as he took in the state of the guards standing at the front of the barricade. the barricade itself looked a bit beaten up like it couldn't take much more damage, and the guards looked exhausted. and it looked like the archer's ammunition was running low.
~~~~~
Yggdrasil had Lord at a fast trot, and the countryside was rolling away. The horse had a very good pace, and a high step. He was halfway to Chorrol now...he took hold of the reigns tighter and urged Lord into a full gallop. The distance between Himself and Chorrol lessened very quickly. He pulled Lord to a slow stop as he saw the Wenyon Priory come into view, a dunmer was out front closing and locking a gate which had sheep behind it.
"ah sir is this wenyon priory?" Yggdrasil asked.
"yes it is, can i point you to a specific person?" the Dunmer asked.
"yes, can you tell me where jauffree is?" Yggdrasil asked.
"yes he is inside the main complex to your side" he said pointing to the door.
"thanks can you do me a favor and take this to the lady who runs the Oak and Crosier? this is from a friend in the City."
"sure." he said and Yggdrasil handed over the parcel and dismounted Lord then tied the reigns to a post on the fence. Yggdrasil then turned to the door to the main house and knocked on the door.

Falcan smirked lightly as they headed up the pathway he decided to put all feeling about the blades and all else aside of he could focus more so on the mission ahead, or least the first on. He looked at the knights and the barricade where he winced slightly. “Hail!” he shouted at a few knights they were having a small ‘brake’ from Deadra attacking. “We’re here to help.” he spoke down at him then jumped off his horse knowing that Oblivion was no place for such a animal. “Alright…we, know how to close this thing, but we need you to keep them from getting towards the camp site.” he added then paused. “also….” he took a deep breath almost as if it were painful to ask. “Do you know where the priest Marten is?”

Yggdrasil stepped back from the door, and waited. he herd a few voices on the inside. and the door opened up to a friar.
"how can this humble establishment help you?"
" i am looking for Jauffree."
"why-come in" he opened the door as yggdrasil showed the friar the Amulet of Kings. Yggdrasil stepped in to see a few blades and Jauffree standing on top of the stairs.
~~~~
Aegnor looked fearful at the statement Falcan said but for some strange reason had a abundance of hope.
"yes last i saw him he was helping refugees get into the temple."
Aegnor's hope soared "there is still hope. " he turned to the gate. "keep them from the refugees. this gate is ours...Falcan, let us be the grumpy host this time." he smirked a devilish smile at Falcan and whipped up a spell as he herd the gate activate and some scamps and clannfear some out.
Falcan smirked and with half any movement whipped his blades out and twirled them around in his hands before holding them in place and readied himself. “heh….agreed, lets put a end to there party, safe to say this time I’m ready to kick some ***.” he stated and then looked towards the scamps. “Alright….pray to the nine, hold the road and we’ll be back!” he shouted and jumped over the barricade with ease and landed a good stomp on one of the scamps. He spun his blade around once more and twisted toward the side and sliced one down, his swings were swift and powerful, but not any power wasted, now he was ready knowing how much it took or how little, need to waste any time or strengths.
Aegnor shot out a blast of electricity catching a scamp in its face sending it flying. he grabbed a thing of rope, he then used the barricade as a jump off and landed on the back of a Clannfear, tying the rope around its mouth in the shape of a makeshift reigns. and caste a dominate creature spell on the rope. the Clannfear stopped struggling.
"good lizard... I'll call you Tulgor ..." he then put the Clannfear into a charge having the Clannfear head butt a scamp letting it hit with a hard crunch. he then cast a bolt of shock at the scamp that was getting ready to jump on Falcan's back. he urged the Clannfear next to Falcan.
"well shall we enter?" he asked .
Falcan looked toward his friends new ’pet’ and razed a brow before smirking. “well whatever works for you.” he grinned then nodded. “alright….let us inter this pit of Oblivion.” he smirked and took a deep breath stepping though to the other side, at first shielding his eyes then looked up, least the hot air didn’t burn his lungs the capes around him made sure of that, but they were hot and heavy, but they’d see if they needed them for anything, the capes almost had the density of light armor.
He smirked as none of the creatures seemed to spot them yet. “well would it be to easy if we used this?” he held up a small vile of something, this something that would make them invisible for a little wile. “just tell me when would be a good time to use it.” he added then looked around and pointed a blade towards the tallest tower.
Aegnor let Tulgor snuff the ground.
"well this place looks rather straight forward." checking out the landscape. a simple road wound its way up to the tower.
"that looks like our destination... what am i gonna do about Tulgor? when the gate closes he'll most likely get left here..." he scratched the Clanfear behind its skull plate and it cooed. "i kinda like him... but oh well." he then turned Tulgor towards the path. "so far no deadra.. i can bet there are in the tower, cause the siege is obviously not there main priority any more." Aegnor said as he started to get tulgor to move.
((ooc: sorry such a bad short post...))
Falcan smirked. “well…eheh..” he scratched his head. ‘don’t know what to say to that, though there might be another in Kavatch ya know.” he nodded then cracked his neck and stretched. “alright, let us be on our way in there way.” he stated plainly though meant as a joke, as he headed towards the tower but staying close to the rocks and looking out for the little fiends‘. “well, maybe you are right, there’s like nothing out here and I doubt we’d be lucky enough they saw us coming and committed suicide and jumped in the lava.” he smirked muffled by his cape. “alright then.’ he nodded and bolted towards the towers door, still…nothing. But he smirked and stood on the side of the doorway and waited for his companion to be on the other side before opening it and a bunch of spells few out, luck for them, they weren’t hit on the sides.
"well Falcan, Tulgor lets close this gate get martin, and get him back to Jauffree." he got off Tulgor who followed him in the tower quietly. the tower the same as all the others. Tulgor sniffed the ground quietly. and made a small noise.
"hmmm?" there was nothing on the ground floor but he sensed they were all up farther. He looked over at Tulgor there was a out of the way door. the Clannfear wagged it hard tail thumbing the wall.
"okay okay i get it.. this way is 'safer'." Aegnor said. "and i mean safer for us, not them. he headed over to the door. examining it for traps and the like before he opened it. looking back at Falcan. "is the coast still clear?"
“Yes.” Falcan grunted then watched him open the door carefully and peeked inside. “alright that’s good lets go.” he sated and whipped out his blades and spun them once in his hands before gripping them tightly. “lets get this done the sooner the better.” he stated with a nod, and bolted into the room and cut down a few Scamps before they knew what hit them and hurried towards the next door/hall.
He took a deep breath and kicked open the door, it opened, sounding almost like a large set of jaws. He threw his hand out jumping back and hit a Demora with a shock spell. Talk about jaws. It ran towards him he ducked then slammed his body into it’s body and sliced open its stomach then watched it fall, blood dripping off his blades he stood. “heh…sorry, have this small annoyance at the moment and need to get rid of some anger!” he shouted and twirled his blade in his fingers then threw it at a deadra stabbing it in the neck and watched it fall. he panted lightly and gave his elf friend a small thumbs up and walked over yanking his blade free from the fallen monster and waved it though the air as a few more ran towards them bellowing.
Aegnor and Tulgor dashed in the room separately after Falcan. Tulgor head butting a scamp and trampling stunted scamps.
Aegnor went after a dremora mage in the corner punching him in the stomach and blasting him in the face with a weakness to shock spell. Then brought his leg around, concentrating some shock magic into his feet. and kicked him across the face the neck snapped completely to one side. the mage dropping to the ground dead. he picked up the staff the mage was carrying it had a ice area and weakness spell in it, he took it. and followed Falcan into the next area. he nodded as Falcan was quick and efficient with his blades.
He jumped in with Tulgor at a Deadroth that was coming up behind Falcan. he grabbed one of the deadra's arms pulling himself up as Tulgor bit the deadroth's tail with his beak. grabbed a hold of the Deadroth's things back he cast a paralyze spell on it he stood up and rode it as it fell down a slop and jumped off it as it went straight into a trap, the guillotine coming down and decapitating it. he ran back up the slope to see Tulgor getting backed into a corner with a trap by a dremora, he attacked the dremora.
"that is my lizard bad dremora!" he slammed his fist into the dremora's back fully charged with a shock spell, the dremora fell to the ground fried. Tulgor came up to Aegnor cooed and nuzzled his side.
