Upon reaching the place Yoko remained mostly silently he didn’t have a whole not to say, he kind of felt she maybe annoyed with him, but seriously, sometimes he tried to avoid as much bad luck as possible, and what was the worst that could happen in an Inn? Unless the whole thing blew away, but that would be everyone’s bad night not just his, he pondered then ordered some water and some stewed vegetables from the in keeper. “I don’t like traveling at night to often” he finely spoke. “I woke up drugged in a church with no clothes on………..” he took a dink of his water with no emotion portrayed on his face. The sad part was that it was true.
However it seemed his ‘curse’ would decide to still bite him in the butt tonight. He heard a voice, and a voice he all knew to to well………..his yellow eyes grew wide the color drained from his face. He had to HIDE……..he looked around franticly, one might think the hounds of oblivion were on his tail. Finely as a last resort he dove under the table and pulled his hood up tightly. “by Sithis please………please don’t find me.” he gulped and shivered and tried to stick as close to the middle of the table as humanly--or bosmerly possible.
Even someone like Moaana would be able to tell this wasn’t his usual behavior. He swallowed again. “I’m not here.” he whispered up to her in a hushed voice….okay bosmeri were nuts……but really? With his luck she’d most likely reveal his ‘spectacular’ hiding place or kick him…….
There was a Altmer at the bar, the usual height and weight, with light hair pulled up in a ponytail on his head, Mage Guild’s purple robes he seemed to just be talking with some stranger. He glanced over towards the table he only saw the dark elf over at now, but he swore he saw a bosmer too? There were to plates at the table now as well meaning he wasn’t wrong, was he? He walked over and looked around as if someone else was supposed to be there.. “Hello” he smiled a bit to friendly at Moaana.. “wasn’t there a man sitting here just a second ago?” he blinked dumbly. “a bosmer, he’s my friend I think” he nodded goofily.
Under the table Yoko was cursing under his breath.

Moaana raised her eyebrows at his sudden wish not to be seen, then spotted the Altmer by the bar. From the way Yoko had even ducked under the table to avoid confrontation with the mer told her he might be something more than just an annoying acquaintance. Besides, any chance to mess with an Altmer, who in Moaana’s mind were all snobs, was more than welcome. So when the mer came over and asked about a Bosmer, she gave him her best contemptuous stare, as if he were some drunken Argonian as opposed to an Altmer mage.
“I’m sorry,” she said, though she was no where near, “you must be imagining it. Maybe you should stay off the ale. Or skooma, whichever.” Her voice was deadpan, and while her face was never expressionless, it hadn’t changed from its permanent mild scowl. She could be telling the truth; this stranger had no way of actually knowing.
Hearing Yoko swear beneath the wood, she tapped him with the toe of her boot, trying subtly to get him to shut up. Then again, it was no skin off her nose if he got himself detected by this Altmer he seemed to know.

Yoko blinked a little dumbfounded she covered for him, and when she tapped him he almost forgot to breathe. He blinked again then tried not to smirk to loudly at her comment, maybe THAT was what was wrong with that Altmer? He wondered to himself.
The Alter just stare at her blankly for a while before bursting out giggling. “I’m not drunk or taking Skooma, silly!” he grinned it was all a joke to him it seemed, drunk or high who knew. But to Yoko it was doubted because this Altmer stayed like this. Could anyone stay drunk or high that long? He wasn’t sure. The Altmer plopped down in Yoko’s chair. “I know I saw him, he is my best friend I’d know him anywhere, but you……maybe you are his girl friend?” he asked. Under the table Yoko tried not to choke to death to loudly…. “Oh right call me Elja, what is you name miss?” he grinned almost stupidly. “I can wait for him I have a few questions for him about the fighters guild!” he grinned
Elja….High elf, should have been born a Bosmer, at least then there would be an excuse for his off behavior. Elja was nice and bubbly compared to most other Altmeri. He was nice and kind to others but Yoko often wondered if Elja was proof that the Deadric realm of madness existed some Altmer had a baby, dropped it on its head and then Shogorath himself kicked the child out….oddly Yoko also found that to much to believe, but it was a good excuse….and for some strange reason…….Elja had it in his head Yoko was a member of the Fighter’s Guild.

This ‘Elja’s overly friendly disposition made Moaana uncomfortable, and she wondered if he might be faking it to get something. A rather cynical position, but she was a Dark Elf, ex-necromancer runaway currently working as an assassin, so she figured she’d probably left any shred of idealism behind long ago. Anyway, the Altmer’s proximity made her nervous; she shifted uneasily in her chair as he sat next to her, and answered her name curtly, and falsely.
“I’m Mona,” she said, using a ready pseudonym, “and I am no one’s ‘girlfriend’.”
When she’d realised that, instead of the danger she’d expected when Yoko jumped under the table, this mer was simply annoying, she’d thought Yoko’s reaction rather extreme. However, as the Altmer jabbered on, she began to understand. She hoped his attention span was short enough that she wouldn’t have to put up with his incessant chattering, else she might just expose Yoko’s hiding place and leave him to it.

Elja blinked then smiled and laughed. “oh alright, sorry” he nodded somewhat respectfully. “Mona” he repeated then nodded. “nice name!” he grinned and still smiled ever so ‘pleasantly’ “soo” he started then paused scratching his head “I know I saw him, but the question is where did he go…” he taped his chin. “oh maybe he went to the bathroom!” he blurted. “mind if I wait here for him?” he asked, as if he didn’t reall anything she’d said so far.
Yoko cringed then barely kept from wanting to just shoot the man, sadly people may notice here and Elja did help Yoko out…..once. Why WHY WHY!? Did anything Yoko do, lead to these kinds of things to only add to his badluck!? Maybe it would rub off on Elja, one could only hope…. He sighed only faintly wondering what maybe going though Moaana’s mind, hmmm maybe she would kill Elja for him? He thought then sighed and pushed that thought aside to shake his head mildly. Elja wiggled around in Yoko’s chair then leaned his elbow’s on the table and smiled at Moaana. “sorry I don’t mean to be a pest, just kinda excited I maybe get to see my friend” he nodded……….to excited. Yoko thought silently.

Moaana grit her teeth while she thought about what she was going to do. She could hope that the Altmer got bored of waiting for Yoko to ‘return’, but she doubted she would hold out that long before taking her shortsword and taking a swing at his face. Although, come to think of it... she couldn’t kill him, at least not here in this crowded place, and leading him off to dispose of would probably be too much trouble than it was worth. But she could always compromise.
She took a meat knife from the table, good and sharp, enough to at least convince a ditsy Altmer it could do damage, and surreptitiously slipped her hand beneath the table. She answered him as she did so, to make it even less noticeable. “I’m sure he’ll scream with delight when he sees you. However,” with one fluid movement she pressed the knife’s edge up against Elja’s thigh, not actually cutting him but making it clear that she could if she wanted to, “I’m sure you don’t want any screaming before he comes.” She leaned in close, by some miracle still managing to keep her voice menacing, yet quiet. “Yes, that’s what you think it is. And if you don’t leave me alone I will make one quick movement,” she jerked the knife in the direction of his crotch to demonstrate, “and we’ll see how you sound as a castrato.”
Her heart pounded in her ears. She really hoped she had judged the situation right, and that the Altmer would back down without calling for help, or even fighting back. No matter how distasteful she found the Bosmer, she didn’t want any sudden movements with the knife in her hand while Yoko was still at face-level to it.

Elja blinked dumbly it took him a moment to take in all she said and was doing. Yoko however just sat there dumbfounded at first he thought the blade was for his leaving her with his …..pest thing, but then watched but then err looked away brow twitching. Okay now Yoko didn’t know what to do he half trying not to laugh the other half trying not to freak out. He put one hand on his face and slid it slowly downward. He wished this was all a dream, heck it almost wasn’t worth the contract, right!? Besides not like the pay would be that great anyway if they had to split it right!? Why didn’t this dawn on him before? He groaned inwardly and resisted the urge to smack himself.
Elja remained silent for a moment, not even blinking then smiled, ah this was when even the mad god might think he’d been beaten at insanity. Elfa laughed he slowly slid his chair back. watching her closely.. “I can go its not that big a deal I mean some people should just say ‘Elja LEAVE’ I could leave just like that I mean its not a big deal, some people say I don’t listen but I do, I really do!” he laughed and clapped his hands lightly before waving. “but you are scary when you make that face”
Yoko flinched trying not to explode, hard to say if it was rage or laughter he was keeping in. finely Elja sucked in a deep breath and giggled again before shrugging, “besides” he ducked to look under the table. “knives are sharp should the played with” he nodded and waved a finger. Yoko froze looking petrified as Elja looked right at him. Yoko cursed inwardly and held his breath looking back at Elja with amber eyes.
But then the altmer just stood back up and stretched. “Okay I suppose I will get going though, its kind of late” he yawned stretching his arms over his head.
