The rain pounded along the rooftops and anyone else unfortunate enough to be caught underneath its onslaught. and one of the few who was out int he rain was unfortunate in more ways than one.
yes the elvin form was a capable fighter on all accounts, but he was honestly in his heart and actions a humble thief. and a freaking good thief at that well what he thought was a good thief. he had two guards and a mage chase after him. he knew the two men weren't really guards but more along the lines of guardians. and that mage accused him of stealing, stealing Yggdrasil's own things.
he weaved in an out of the alley ways and jumping over the low stone fences. trying to looser his pursuers. it was hard running in the muddy water soaked streets of the imperial city market district. and for some reason the guards of that mage were still chasing him not giving up even when he tried to climb the side of a building. he abandoned that idea after it started raining. he was running out of space to run. what bothered him was the guards weren't stepping in and helping him. Yggdrasil turned his head and noticed he lost them he almost sighed in relief. well until he smacked into the man in front of him. he was grabbed roughly by his hair and pulled up his feet no longer touching the ground.
"Boss we gott'em." one of the guys said as he removed his bag from Yggdrasil's person.
"hey that's mine!" Yggdrasil said as he swung out a fist and connected with the guards nose, causing the 'guard' to drop the bag.
"you little..." the guard growled.
"now, now don't get to angry with the little elf. we yet know what he owns anything of worth...." the mage grabbed the bag from the floor and riffled threw it. a grin appeared upon his face that was malicious. "well, well what do we have here? all these artifact notes and this journal.... " the mage flicked open the journal reading a tad bit eyes widening. he reached forward and grabbed Yggdrasil's face turning it to him. "eyes like the stones... boys take care of this one. he is of the slave masters blood... and i mean permanently. " the mage said his hood was up but from the tone of voice and speech patterns Yggdrasil could guess he was of imperial stock. and yggdrasil hated imperials, and he hates loosing to them all the more.
but right know he had two well armored men. he yelped when the one he punched in the face began his assault. the other one joined in when he realized the small elf wouldn't be able to fight back.
Yggdrasil couldn't make out much of anythign after they left him battered, bleeding and broken body parts. he groaned when he realized he couldn't move. he spit out blood from his mouth the rain washing it away into he ground quickly. he shivered his body was so cold, and not just from the rain it seemed like all his body heat left him in one fell swoop.
He tried to gasp out something in the hoped someone would hear him, but he knew it was fruitless. as the edges of his vision was fading, he hoped someone found him and either killed him or helped him either way at the moment he could care less for either.
