it was in the light of dawn you could find Aegnor today. he was practicing his spell casting on a large boulder near the lake. he was working of some steam, he and his companions had just closed a oblivion gate that was plaguing the imperial city. the guards said they saw a Bosmer standing not far from the gates and acting suspicious then is cast some kind of magic and the gate sprung into existence. Aegnor was furious he was letting off some steam. he cast a nasty fire spell at the bolder leaving a small smoldering area. he switched the spell up for a frost spell real quick freezing the area then cast a strong shock spell causing splinters of rock to fly off.
he stopped for a moment to catch his breathe. he rubbed the bridge of his nose, as mad as he was he couldn't keep it. because something about the whole mess smelt fishy, like it wasn't like it appeared. he didn't want to think on it know all he wanted to take yggdrasil, Tulgor and go back to Summerset isles. Go back to studying magicks. he refused to study at the mage's guild of the main land, there was way to much drama involved in there mage's guild. he preferred studying at Crystal tower, true magicka learning thank you very much. he kicked a stone into the lake and sat himself down on a log, watching the sunrise.

Rumors and murmerings in the streets were abound, and the citizens were nervous. Word of an Oblivion Gate opening right outside their very walls had everyone on edge. They had been worried about invasion, much like Kavatch had been invaded, of death, destruction and ruin. Thankfully, the gate had managed to be closed, at the cost of the lives of some of the brave soldiers of the Imperial Guard. Safety and peace were restored....for now. But they would be back again, and it would be worse. Thus, it was the job of the Mage's Guild to examine the nature of the gates, to find ways to see when they are coming, and to act accordingly. Given that he needed the job to advance through the ranks, Valaras had volunteered to examine what was left.
What the Dunmer Mage did discover did not shed much light, much to his displeasure. He knelt over the debris that had once formed the hellish, demon spawning gate to the Daedric Realm. There was no traces of magical energy left. The stones were barren and devoid of any essence, much like the bodies of the demons that still lay scattered. Valaras grumbled to himself and rose, his job as done as it could be. Other Guild members would be by later to collect the demon remains, to use them in alchemic potions or dissection. In that area, Valaras was somewhat comforted, knowing he would do well in brewing strange new potions and poisons from their remains.
As he made his way back to the gate, he noticed a strange looking individual hurling fireballs at a nearby rock. His brow raised in skeptisim, and he clucked his disapproval. He recognized the man from passing; he was a transfer from another land, done to do work here. In the Dunmer's opinion, he hadn't done much to improve his skills, and hurling magic at rocks seemed futile. He walked over to where he was standing, and announced himself with a rather curt reply, not even announcing his name.
"Playing at being a Mage, are we? It's not becoming of a wizard to vent in such a manner. That is, if you ARE a wizard."

Aegnor almost growled, who in there right minds would ever say a Altmer wasn't a wizard? and too there face no less? well kind of to his face. he got up and turned to look at the person who spoke to him... a Dunmer of course. such a grumpy race of elves...he wondered how Nyorith as doing. last he knew he was hunting yggdrasil...he probably should find him before Nyorith dose..
"that depends on your meaning of a wizard? a lackey of the guild or someone trained to be very skilled in there arts. because trust me i am the second." he looked a the Dunmer. "everyone is allowed to let of steam however they please. i just closed the oblivion gate that was here on the outside of the city." he looked at the dunmer he looked young...
"how old are you?" he asked out loud not really thinking about it almost appalled that someone younger than him said he wasn't a wizard...

The strange Dunmer did not even attempt to hide his snort of disdain at Aegnor's words. The words "Guild Lackey" actually made him laugh out loud. That explained a few things about the man's demeanor and approach to Valaras, his rude greeting and condescending remarks aside. Still, perhaps it was a mistake to judge him as less then a mage. Or maybe it was accurate? Either way, the dark skinned elf didn't care. Nor did he even take offense to the insult of the Guild; he couldn't care less about it.
"Guild lackey? Please. I'm only with these fools because the Arcane University has the best magical library around. Imcompotents are in charge, such as the Bruma Hall Guild Leader. Utter, laughable jokes!"
Valaras' eyebrows raised at the next question. His age? Why in Oblivion should Valaras tell the man his age? He never shared personal information with strangers, much less to ones he just met. They hadn't even exchanged names, a formality that even the Dunmer was not foreign to. The question had flustered him a bit, bothered him, despite that he was young for his race. He fluttered his robe sleeves, appearing to try and straighten them out.
"How rude of you. I have no intention of giving my age to a stranger with no name."

((ooc: Aegnor tends to say things out loud while thinking...))
Aegnor looked at the Dunmer for a second, he actually said that out loud? he would have smacked his forehead if he was in company he knew. and Aegnor was most inclined to give his name when meeting a new person, he had forgotten. with everything happening he was surprised he remembered his name. maybe he should go under a new alias? but why no one wanted him dead anymore...right?
"that is my fault i tend to think out loud in the presence of others. please take no offense. though regards to my name i am Aegnor Telperiën of the Summerset isles." he nodded his head in a gentlemanly manner of introduction. though the 'best' magical library could be argued he decided against it, i mean its not like they allow outsiders into Summerset isles. They were worse than Morrowind in that aspect. he sat back down on the boulder he was already sitting on, while he rubbed his brow. these past weeks have been nothing but one huge migraine.
