A DarkElf walked inside, he'd just come in from being out in the rain, water rolled off him, as he came over at sat at the bar, he wore a cape and hood, his hood still up for now.
"What can i get ya?" the person asked behind the bar.. "Just something to much on please, bread some cheese, and water." he stated calmly.

In one of those more odd events, a second individual stepped into the rather fancy inn. Normally he would stick to something more along the lines of the Five Claws, but today he felt like drinking somewhere in class. Rooms were a bit much when you considered his present money pinch, but there were always enough septims for a round of booze!
Haldor wore his armor (save the helmet) on this day, making him a bit of a stand-out. He proudly approached the bar, sitting a couple of seats down from the hooded fellow. “Some mead, please.” the beaming Nord requested.

The dunmer watched the stranger for a moment then broke off some of his bread and ate just looking away now, more or lessly stairing of into space. "alright here you go." the person behind the counter passed the stanger the meed, and smiled with a nod. "can i get you anything more?" she asked the elf, who just politly shook his head.

Haldor grinned with delight as he received his alcoholic beverage. He promptly tilted the mug back and began downing the sweet honey-based liquid. His first gulp had bagged him about a third of the container; though he could easily have chugged the thing down and asked for seconds. Instead his attention was drawn to the rather antisocial Dunmer for a quick moment. Seeing as the Nord was celebrating, it couldn't hurt to ask the guy to join in. He would most likely be turned down in that usual hubris demonstrated by the Mer races, but he figured he might as well try.
"Hey there stranger," Haldor directed toward the Dark Elf. "You a regular around here?"

"Ah, I see...." He took a brief sip of his beverage before responding. "Myself? This is my first time this far south, actually." A low chuckle overtook him. "Also my first time seeing so many Argonians in one place. Not a whole lot of 'em up in the cold, y'know?" Another swallow. "But yeah, I just came down here for a bit of a job."

"hum." he finely pushed back his hood he had somewhat messy, long hair, a litle hung in his face, his skin like a darkblue-ish. and ofcorse the red eyes. "A job?" he looked at the man once more. "Are you with the fighters guild perhaps?"

Haldor laughed slightly louder this time, though still warmly as before. He had not been the first to ask questions regarding Haldor’s affiliation to certain other organizations. Was it so hard to believe that a man could be doing something without motivation from a larger body or monetary gain? Of course, he himself may be the cause for confusion this time; referring to anything he did as a “job” tended to imply that someone would be paying him. Any payment for his services would likely come in the form of food this time. His “client” did not look to be well off.
“No, no, nothing of the sort.” He rose the cup to his lips, then decided to simply finish his explanation before indulging himself. “More just something someone asked me to do. Nothing official-like.”
Haldor was pleased to see the features of the Dark Elf. While he did not want to stereotype, it had been appearing as though having a stick up one’s ass was hereditary among Dunmer. It was reassuring to see that not all were this way.

Now it was Haldor’s turn to express interest. “Things, you say?” He took that swig of mead he had been holding off, then half-turned in his seat to better face his new bar-side acquaintance. He leaned on the counter with the elbow of the arm holding the cup. “Well that certainly is a notable profession you have. I cannot say I usually venture into the ruins.” d**n, just met and already out boasted. And in casual conversation too! “Sounds rather dangerous though. I’m sure you find more than just wild animals taking shelter in such places....”
The Nord spared but a glance at the newcomers. At this point they did not interest him a whole lot.

Finishing what remained of his beverage, the Nord tapped his cup and dropped additional payment on the counter, silently indicating that he was buying a refill. His attention was returned to the Dunmer in an instant. “One man’s trash, right?” A simple shrug accompanied this response. “Fact of the matter is that I have never been great in cramped spaces anyway.” Haldor reached over his shoulder to tap the hilt of Daystar. “I usually lose track of my surroundings and get this big boy caught against a wall.” Another laugh; his heartiest so far. “An amateur mistake, I know, but I haven’t been quite able to rid myself of it yet.”
He took a swallow from his newly filled cup, his stray glance directed over the rim of the container and to the downpour just out the window.

Haldor nodded in agreement. “Mhmm. Always takes getting used to on my end.” He turned back to the Dunmer with a grin when he heard his question. “Usually I just focused on getting hammered beyond all reason. Takes away from the fact that I can’t just enjoy a stroll.” He raised his mug, getting off a “You much of a drinker, fella?” before knocking down the rest of the mead with one chug. “And speaking of which.....” he added as he signaled for yet another refill “I don’t think I got your name yet.”
