Nightfall…the sun was just gone from sight over the horizon, the sky darkening, the stars slowly coming out one by one, as the mood rose in the sky.
A Dunmer or Darkelf, made his way into town after a late job of being out exploring places and gathering treasures from abandoned ruins and such. His packs slung over his back and shoulders looked heavy enough, but without to much trouble he just walked on. Soon he’d just find a shop or mages guild that would buy some of these things he found. But the night didn’t bother him, His skin was dark blue even for some dark elves, black hair hung loosely almost to his shoulders. Red eyes. He was named after the night its self. ‘Night’ kept walking about the town, being dark out though, no shops were open, also meaning he’d have no money for a Inn tonight. So he sighed and kept walking, trying to ignore a few people watching him closely.
this is when Night decided to move away from this area, he left down a fewAllyss trying to leave town, but came to a sudden halt when a few men stepped outin frontt of him, A tall buff Orc male, a orc female, and a Dunmer like himself, but greener skin. Firsttinstinctc kicked in, Night turned on his heal to leave, but the orc reached out grabbing the Dunmer by his pack and yanked him back with a flop Night landed on the ground at the group's feet.
"what do you want?" he asked meekly from under his hood. the group laughed, and the orc yanked him up by his pack, almost lifting the Dark Elf off the earth. Quickly Nightslippedd out of the pack and jumped back and twisted around ready to run again, but the Other Dunmertrippedd him and laughed.
"a lot of nice stuff you have in this bag!" the Orc stated, the female orc took a lookrummagingg though it, throwing out a few books and papers, then took a out a alyad stone andmarveledd at it withinterestt.
The Dunmergrabbedd Night's arm and yanked him over also grabbing the back of his robes. Night's red eyeswideningg a little, his personal space being invaded so much...and the elf now holding him tightly. the male Orc snorted. "where did you get these?!" he barked. Night shook his head. "I found them in caves.." he winced.
"ah well itdon'tt matter, we aretakingg them now!" the Orc bellowed, what a lowly creature he was. "Get rid of him...wedon'tt need anyoneleakingg out our group." He stated witha wavee. Night's eyeswidenedd as a sudden pain hit his face he fell to the ground with a thud, and was yanked back up, being this 'groups' little punching bag a wile, even when he tried to fight back. The large Orc finely stepped in andwrappedd his arms around the elf and squeezed him tightly, makingg him gasp out and whimper in pain. he hated it...being touched....mentaly...he thought he was dieing...like so many years back. he gasped and shuddered a few times before falling limp, awake but seemingly in shock, a little beaten to top it all off.

Yggdrasil sighed arriving in Chorral late, stupid bandits. he herd a commotion a slight one that the guards wouldn't here. he walked over to the area his curiosity gotten the better of him. his eyes widened at the site. two orcs and a dunmer were beating on another person and stealing his things. he's help well normally he'd get the guards.. but they're were orcs involved. he hated orcs.
He grabbed a throwing knife and ran up throwing one of his knives at one of the orc. while grabbing his katana, and attacked one of them. the male orc got 'thwacked' in his leg by the knife. dropping the one he was holding, a Dunmer. one of the men was a dunmer 'so much for racial unity.' and sliced at the female who had the bag that belonged to the dunmer now on the ground she dropped it in surprise.
the male orc pulled out the throwing knife but was meet with Yggdrasil's katana. "now my lovely, yet ugly friends i suggest you leave anything that belongs to this Dunmer. leave, be killed or worse the guard gets you." the orc dropped the knife, and the three left.
after Yggdrasil made sure they left he knelt down by the dunmer. gently shaking his shoulder while leaning over him, looking for any signs of blood. "hey you alright?" he hoped he didn't have to carry the mer. "can you say something? tell me if anything might be broken?" he was taller than him, and probably heavier though he wasn't sure.

The Dunmer heard the commotion above at first assuming it was a guard come to save him, he then pushed that idea aside, there was no sound of the typical imperial voice, nor the clanging and clattering of armor. When he felt a hand on his shoulder and heard people running away, he winced and moaned lightly slowly picking his head up shaking the grass and dirt out then slowly pulling his hands under him, lifting himself up finely he looked towards his savior and blinked a few times then bowed his head lowly before even getting up. ‘th-thank you!” he stated aloud, half choked, embarrassed and worried a little shaken. “You…didn’t have to but did…I thank you.” he stated still low. Eyes closed tightly.

he looked at the dunmer, and sighed as he picked up his throwing knife and put it away. "its al-alright, people ne-need help sometimes." he shrugged his shoulders cracking his neck in the process. wincing. "you wouldn't hap-happen to k-know or have a place to r-rest for the night. I'm studying the o-old alyeid ruins in t-the area. and well sleeping in th-them i truly recom-recommend to no o-one." his stuttering was getting worse. He had an itch along his arm but he wouldn't scratch at it. he knew why it itched.

The dark elf stood and dusted off swallowing, he clearly wasn’t a people type person, shy? Strange nature for a dunmer. “I--” he paused listening to him. Then slowly nodded. “there is a inn….here in town.” he stated pushing back his hair, black hair falling around his face, his face like the rest of his skin was a almost dark blue color.
“But I not yet been able to sell stuff I find in ruins.” he stated also seeing that the two had something in common.

Yggdrasil brightened up slightly "you've be-been to the ru-ruins near here?" he looked at the dunmer pleased. "ho-how 'bout i pa-pay for food and lo-lodging and tomorrow we can ex-explore some more. and most im-importantly trade wh-what we've l-le-learned." he fumbled over the words. he did a quick mental check list of his gold, yup he had enough.
he hated those slavers and smugglers even more so now. not being able to converse right with people. he fiddled with his fingers. "al-also do you kn-know were there a-are lock picks to buy? i f-find some of the b-best stuff in the ru-ruins are locked."

The male Dunmer blinked a few times. Then smiled faintly, it was hard for him to chose… he was very strange around people, but this elf seemed to be alright, of cores he could fight, a little, if needed. He took a deep breath also one to think on his words before speaking, if hardly speaking at all. “Yes I wonder inside ruins, and old….caves and mines too.” he stated. Then nodded. “if you wish, then I can give you any tresure you want from my pack.” he stated. Knowing least a few of the stones and things he picked up had to be worth something somewhere.

Yggdrasil blinked, "you'd offer me shiny things?" his stuttering vanished. "no thanks you though the of-ff-ffer, is appreciated though" he knew why he stuttered this time. shiny things are such a temptation. but he couldn't take anything form someone he just helped.
"no any information you have is fine with me. " he shook his head. he had a soft spot for dunmer since his one friend from morrowind. "please do come, we could probably learn a lot. I do have a book that can help us translate some Alyeid. i am a little rusty though. i haven't herd it spoken in...a good while..." he needed to be careful, he was in the heart of the empire he was sure if anyone found out. he was probably as good as dead.

He blinked watching him and smiled shyly. “no…I insist.’ he stated. Then looked down. “I don’t…know much about the ruins, I mainly just explore them and try to find what treasures I can, and give them to the mages guilds when there willing to let me sell them.” he nodded. A little embarrassed. “Oh…I-I’m…Night by the way, and thank you again, fr helping me.” he stated picking up his packs he dropped, of the people snatched and then dropped.

he smiled "my name is Yggdrasil, though if you wish you can call me 'yggy' not many people like calling me Yggdrasil." he knelt down to help the dunmer.
"plus as you said you don't have a place to say. and orcs are relentless." his voice dripping with disdain when he spoke of orcs. he shuddered. "i have no love for orcs, sounds terribly stereotypical doesn't it..." he sighed. "if you feel the need to pay me back let me buy you dinner." he lLast Seedhed this was just opposite from morrowind.
"and then you can do what you want to do." the dunmer seemed reluctant to accept his offer. and if he wouldn't take it then that was alright. though he seemed sad, he thought he found a person with something in common in this place.

Night looked up at him and smiled lightly. “Thanks.” he smiled and nodded. “alright I should have enough to pay to eat.” he stated watching him, felt so strange, this Dunmer was like himself calm and quite, only a bit more outspoken and sure of himself it seemed. Unlike Night himself…who was unsure of everything and anything, the thought made him sigh then push his thoughts away as he looked up at the star lit sky.
"hum?" he looked at him when he spoke of Orcs. "I well...I dont mind anyone unless they chose to do bad things." he sighed.

Yggdrasil nodded. "okay, last i believe i herd there were two inns here, The Grey First Seede is a small shack. And the oak and crosier, is kinda across the way from it." he scratched the base of his neck slightly. made one last look around to make sure the dunmer had everything.
he then paused "er... which way?" he knew it sounded stupid but hey beggars can't be choosers. "I've never been to chorrol before..." he admitted. 'heck he'd never been to Cyrodiil before...' but he wasn't about to tell anyone that...

Atlast, night has fallen. The stars illuminated the night and the brown moon stood high above the land, bright as ever. Cartisan was on his way to Chorrol, it was the nearest town and one of his great friends lived there. What a suprise he would make. Something about this night was different, he felt something bad would happen. When did good things ever happen in Cyrodiil? the Oblivion crisis, bandits and wild creatures everywhere he went. Anvil was the best place to live in until those pesky sirens started trouble. Cartisan traveled to Chorrol but he was in the open forest of the Colovian Highlands. He sat on his horse along side of Yivela, a nord companion that was with him, and a good friend. "Think they have good food in Chorrol?". She asked Cartisan. Cartisan smiled. "Oh I am sure of it, I am starving right now. What I would give for a sweetroll and some nice warm milk and bread!". Yivela frowned. "It sounds delicious, my stomach is growling like a monster!". Yivela said, rubbing her stomach. Yivela could not wait to take off her light armor and relax in a nice warm house.
Suddenly a howl was heard, it rattled the night and chilled her bones. It was disturbing, no Wolf would ever howl loudly as this. Yivela looked at Cartisan with a weary look. "We better hurry up". He said. Cartisan whipped the bay horse. "Hiya". He demanded, making the horse gallop quicker than before. Yivela did the same & for her horse. There was a hill below that they had to go through for them to get to Chorrol. A small waterfall ran above Black Rock caverns. She steadily climbed down, guduing her horse down the slippery land. "Careful now". Cartisan warned, lLast Seedhing a little. He stood above the rock, seeing the town of Chorrol not too far off. "Yes! we are close". He said.
Yivela looked up at him and then at the expansive view from the spot she was in. She sighed a little and continued.
A strange voice came from the shadows. Raspy and Eerie, perverted to maximum. A Nord male and a Orc male came out, glass armor and heavy blunt weapons. "Well well well. You sound tired lil lady. You can spend the night with us, we will keep ya safe and warm..haha". He said, walking closer.
"Stay back!". Yivela warned. Cartisan got startled and ran down with his horse, nearly falling over. "We dont want trouble, we are just passing through. The Orc lLast Seedhed loudly and looked over at his Nord friend. Clearly they where guarding the outside of the cave incase of intruders. "Why leave so soon? you just got here". He said. The Orc grew his stance and walked closer. Cartisan and Yivela walked back, not wanting to get into a fight. "I am sorry, we really must get going". Yivela said.
The Orc chuckled again, gripping his Axe. He was an ugly fellow, teeth came out the side of his mouth, his nose was big and running with snot. The Nord male had battle scars and was all filthy. "I cant let you leave, I rather enjoy your nice warm company tonight! & I cant let your little friend run off to tell the guards that we are here". The Nord said.
The Orc male ran towards Yivela, startled she pulled out her short sword and cut the Orc along his thick muscled arms. He growled and pulled her by the hair, smelling it. "Mmm you smell warm". He said coldy. He was stronger than her and she lacked combat, but Cartisan was a good fighter. Cartisan called her name and ran towards him with his Elven shortsword. "LET HER GO!". He demanded, tackling the Orc down. The Nord came running at him, kicking Cartisan in the stomach and then stomping at his face. He was bleeding badly. The Orc grabbed Yivela again and held her by the arms. "I got the wench, kill her little friend and lets go back in". He said. Holding his knife to her throat. The Nord pulled out his axe and slashed at Cartisan, cutting his leg. Cartisan yelled painfully and then tried to stab the Nord with his weapon. The Nord jumped to the side and pushed Cartisan down with his feet. Cartisan nearly fell over the streaming river. Bleeding badly and heavily. "Pleas---please dont hurt her. I wont tell anyone!". He pleaded, the Nord bandit shook his head and raised his axe. "We wont hurt her, we are just going to have a little party haha". He said to him, shaking hs body a little, ready to bring down his axe and kill Cartisan.
Yivela started to cry and shout for help. The Orc only choked her even more before she could let out another yell. "Cartisan!!!". She screamed, tears running down.
Suddenly a growl was heard and some large creature came out of the bush, behind the trees. The large black animal jumped at the Nord and tackled him hard on the ground. Cartisan was horrifed, not because the Nord was under its feet but because the creature was bigger than him. Its large black fur coat, fearsome teeth and yellow glowing eyes. He now realized it was a Werewolf, judging by its body format, it was female. Cartisan backed away slowly while the Werewolf started to munch away at the screaming Nord. "NO!! help! help!". He cried. There was nothing Cartisan could do, he backed away and ran towards Yivela. The Orc dropped Yivela and pulled out his hammer. Ignoring the fleeing Cartisan, he ran to fight the beast that was eating his friend alive. The Orc gave a battle cry and charged forth, dissapearing from sight as Yivela and Cartisan ran down the hill.
The bay horses ran away, frightened and Cartisan was injured in his leg. He limped much and fell to the ground, his face eating the dirt. Yivela helped him up and ran. 'We need to warn everyone..its too busy with its food to catch us, lets go!". He warned. Yivela panted fearfully and sprinted to the town of Chorrol. They could hear the faint screams of pain and horror of the Orc that harrassed him earlier, strangely, despite how he treated her, she still felt pity. They hurried through the forest, getting closer to the town. Yivela smiled when she saw the Breton man with his torch, reading a book. "Help!!". She called to him. The Breton man raised his head and walked to her, carefully. No one in Cyrodiil could be trusted but a select few. Cartisan tried to catch his breath. "We`ve been attacked by bandits..then something came at us! a big wolf!...he tried to--". That was Cartisans last sentance, the Black Werewold jumped out of the forrest into the air, its thick coat and fur bristling in the air as the wind passed through it. The large shadow of the beast came over her as it jumped under the moonlight and right on top of Cartisan. The Werewolf growled, tearing at him and ripping his armor and scratching at him with its horrifiyng bloody claws. The Breton man pushed Yivela away, telling her to go to safety. The Breton male swung his torch back and forth. "HA! HA! back beast! YA!". He screamed wildy. The Werewolf growled at him and stood on its two legs. The beast was much taller than him. It growled loudly, its snout twitching and lips moving in annoyance. Its eyes piercing and cold, yellow and bright as the sun itself. Yivela was terrified and shocked. Cartisan was dead..her best friend was dead! all she had to do was escape. She ran towards the City gates.
The breton man yelled, dropping his torch when the beast picked him up by the neck, squezing it and threw him right into a tree, cracking it, the man fell to the ground lifelessly and broken. Yivela let out another fearful cry and continued running forward. The guards saw her inn the distance and ran to aid her. The stomps and heavy steps of the Werewolf got closer, its snarl was heard and it seemed it was right beside her. Yivela glanced back, seeing the beast running on all four, its tail set straight, a sign of attack. Yivela fell to the floor, she was dead anyways, she knew it and so did the beast. The beast jumped in the air and snarled angrily to get her prey. Until two arrows pierced its side, bringing it down to the floor. Yivela closed her eyes and then opened them, looking behind her the Chorrol guard advanced with their bows. The Werewolf glared at her angrily, recording her face and memorizing her personna..swallowing her fear. Somehow she felt she seen the creature before, a faint memory, still embedded in shadow. The Werewolf growled at her and ripped the arrows from its chest. It stood up and roared at the Guards, its teeth clothed in the shredded pieces of the Nord`s clothes and skin, tattered pieces of meat laid in them. Its mouth full of blood. The Werewolf ran away, alive and angrier than before. Yivela was scared, more than ever. Even in a safe town like Chorrol, she felt fear of being tracked down.
"Milady..are you alright? have you been injured or bitten?". The guard asked. Yivela said nothing, her eyes where wide and frightened, she could not believe what happened..she was lLast Seedhing and joking with her friend, minutes later he was...gone. It was in a blink of an eye, she was not even grateful to be alive. The guards saw that she had no bite First Seedks, just bruises and a large cut in her leg. "It is not safe out here..come". He said, gently helping her up and escorting her inside the town. Yivela saw the statue infront of her, a woman aiding a fallen man. How she ever wished that was her helping Cartisan. More tears ran down her face, she kept her face down to the ground. "What happened tonight was unexpected. Rest tonight and do not dwell on what happened". He said, in a whisper. Yivela was slightly annoyed, how was she suppose to be calm and relax after what happened? There where few people out, a elf and a Dunmer talking to each other with items spread all over the floor, it appeared they went into some sort of a brawl. Yivela entered the Oak and Croiser, the guard gave her 20 gold and left. "We will search the area outside for anymore disturbances, we will return to ask you everything that happened". He said, walking out the Inn. The Khajiit female came to her. "I am Talasma, would you like anything?".
Yivela shook her head. "Some bread..sweetrolls and some milk, please". She said, trying not to cry. Talasma nodded and went to get the food ready. Yivela stood there in her table, sniffling, she set her head down and grieved.

Night looked at him blinking then smiled lightly. “its alright either is fine.” he stated calmly watching him. “nothing to fancy if its okay, ah...I don’t travel here often, or least stay.” he sighed deeply. “I’m sorry I’m not anymore help.” he frowned looking down then looked up at him and studied his name in his mind for a little wile.
[sorry so crappy…again. And sorry Draken I’m not sure how to respond to your post in a RP reply, but amazing post either way. O.O]

"maybe the oak and crosier? i dunno the Grey mare looks really really small." he turned to hopefully the right way of the inn. he saw the sign 'yes victory!' he mentally shouted. he saw the guard slowly make they're way over into the area
" i swear why is kvatch like the only place that have elves in the guard. or maybe a khajit would be good? they're hearing is good right? i mean they'd know they're was trouble as it happened or before it started." he said "right?" he sounded a little unsure. the couple with the dogs came out. "ooh...doggies...oh what a statue...hehe"
