--at dawn--
As the sun rose, and shades of pink and blue filled the sky, a pair of deep purple eyes gazed off into the distance. A young black Khajiit sat, perched upon a high up ledge as if it were a throne. She loved it up here. This was a place where she could be alone, until she had honed her skills. Until the day she could fight like a true, honorable warrior, as her mother was, then she would remain here. Though, even if it was just another day, something seemed... different today.

It had been a little while since he finely arrived home, Anvil at first, after awhile of spending life with the elves and elsewhere in other lands he was pleased to have the chance to visit. The retired Imperial Legionnaire, spent his time since home, traveling around, just kind of visiting and seeing how much everything had changed since he’d been gone, and travel he did, alone but he was easily able to take care of himself. After all unless his memory was deceiving him, he had a house somewhere around Bruma, if it hadn’t been raided or something while he was gone.
He chuckled shaking his head and stepped though the snow without much care, his light gray cloak/coat drifted behind every step, messy dark brown hair that lightened as he aged hung loosely over his shoulders. One hand held a back of what was most likely supplies, hanging over his shoulder, the other just relaxed by his side, some mistook the man for being foolishly relaxed, however they usually figured out they were wrong, and quickly. He kept walking every not and then he would raze his hand to his mouth and yawn before stretching he left early so he could make it to Bruma, however he knew he would be able to reach there today he wasn’t in any hurry, if he decided to turn around and go to the city, it wouldn’t be a problem at all. He also took a detour from Bruma, just a little bit to take in the scenery he’d not yet noticed there was a stranger nearby as well.

Illusion peered down from her perch at the passing imperial. Anyone that knew her knew she hated imperials. The man was just simply walking with her sights and she couldn't help but growl. Imperials were part of the reason she was here, and not back in her homeland. It took every muscle in her body to stop her from jumping down and ending the man. What made matters worse is that he was indeed a man. Ever since the incident 3 years ago with the band of Khajiit men, she hated all beings with the Y chromosome. She wanted to tear him limb from limb, just for being two of the things she most hated, but that little voice in the back of her mind told her not to. Instead she just watch with a glare as he walked along.

Still not noticing the stranger nearby, he kept walking without a care in the world. However he finely did stop, perhaps he noticed her? He sucked in a deep breath and closed his eyes coming to a halt he spoke softly. “I’ve noticed you have been fallowing me for a little while, mind ending this please, I don’t take kindly to…stalkers” he sighed deeply and let his pack slide from his hand and land in the snow.
As it would seem though it wasn’t the Khajiit, that he was speaking to, but a man stepped from the trees brandishing a large blade and a smirk. “shocked you knew I was fallowing you” the man snorted, seemed to be a Nord bandit, without sparing any more words the Nord bolted towards the Imperial, who’s hand flew to his blade and quickly pulled the shimmering silver blade free and with a clang fended off the other man’s blade, though because the Nord was larger, he was pushed back a little in the snow but didn’t lose his footing. “you think to slowly, my friend” he stated then suddenly used his other hand and grabbed his scabbard and slammed it into the Nord’s belly and made him gasp for breath, in one quick motion he used his blade to send the Nord’s blade flying though the air and stick in the ground.
He pointed his silver blade at the Nord who was still rather taken back from such a strange move. “now get out of my sights, next time I might take your life” the Imperial said coldly. The Nord paused, but quickly started running off. The traveler sighed deeply and went to sheathe his blade, in its reflection he saw that of another stranger a cat nearby, but he pretended that he didn’t notice her, and simply slid the blade away and bent down to pick up his sack.

Still watching with a glare of hatred, Illusion followed his every move. She was quiet impressed with the way he handled the nord, but she didn't show it. Instead she kept thinking of the way imperials destroyed her home. They were skilled fighters too, but they still were not on her good side. She growled, louder than she had intended, at the returning thought. She crouched down half way hidding her self behind a rock. Maybe he had already seen her? If so, why hadn't he come up here, trying to pick a fight? Maybe all imperial weren't bad... she hissed at herself for even thinking that. Until one proves to her that they aren't all bad, then they are all bad in her eyes. Even still though, curiousity started to show in her eyes.

He breathed in a deep breath and latched his blade back to his belt and carrying his pack once again he stated walking alone. He now knew he had an onlooker, but wasn’t sure the cat meant any danger, that and it wasn’t like him to be the first to attack, but oh he could and would defend if necessary. He glanced around as if letting her know he knew someone or thing was still there, but left it at that as he continued on his way a few more strides before he brought a hand up to brush the hair out of his face and sighed. “well you have done it now….” he mumbled to himself. “should change my name to ‘he-who-easily-gets-lost’….” he shook his head.

Illusion slowly started down to where the Imperial was. Her ears were back but alert. She had no itentions of being friendly, but she would help him find his way. Her black armor stood out against the snow, but maybe if he saw her coming, he wouldnt attack. Then again... he was after all an imperial, she couldn't be to careful. She kept her eyes on him the whole time, but reached down and undid the fastening on the sheath that held Hellstorm. When she had reached a close, but safe distance, she spoke. " Imperial." she half growled to get his attention.

He looked up at the word “Imperial” though he thought it was kind of rude to call someone just by the name of their race, but it was fine, he also replied to ‘Sir’ his name, ‘Butthead’ and a few other names. He smirked silently and calmly looked towards the woman, now he could tell that she was, well a she. “Hello” he spoke back with a friendly yet calm wave not seeming overly friendly. He took it upon himself to be respectful and polite to people, but it didn’t mean he had to always be overly happy, so he remained calm when doing so.
He watched her closely she didn’t seem like the type to be weak, not at all, but he was trying to study her to see if she was a bandit or not, one could never be to sure, but still he had no interest in attacking first, as always. “it is a fair day we are having.” he nodded and glanced towards the sky a little bit, with light smile. “yes today shall be fine indeed” he said with a mild smile.

well he seems friendly... but i cant let my guard down she thought. She stood in an offinsive possion, but never moved to showhim that she meant no harm... yet. " Yes... I guess you could say it is a good day... are you lost...?" she spoke slowly, showing her wariness of the man. Her eyes serched the man while she awaited his reply. He seemed calm, collected, well mannered... nice enough... but what if it was only a front? Then her eyes came to rest on his sword. I wonder how much blood that thing has shed... i wonder if he was there with thoes other imperials... . Finally her eyes came back up to meet his.

This woman seemed to be slightly worried about him so calmly he let his arms still hang by his sides. He nodded in agreement then smirked lightly. “so much has changed since I have been overseas” he informed her. “I suppose I have gotten turned around, or maybe not……hard to tell.” he laughed it had been a while since he’d been around these parts. “I’m trying to get to Bruma.” he stated. “judging by the fact I cant see it from up here I at least know its not down always” he smirked and rubbed his bristly chin with his free hand,
“what about you M’lady, you aren’t lost out here are you?” he asked, you never knew

" No... I've lived up here for 2 years..." ever since my mother was killed by men... she thought, but she didn't speak that. " I've gotten to know my way around pretty well... you on the other hand... I can help you find your path back to Bruma... If you wish..." The tone in her voice had softened slightly, but she still stood in that offinsive possion. The one that said 'hey, try something, and I attack'. Still, maybe she was being too untrusting... she always had been... but then again... she had good reason. If the Ipmperial man was going to do anything to her, would he not have already done it? Without moving her eyes, she moved her hand to what looked like draw her sword, but instead she simply re-did the fastening.

He smiled warmly and spoke up. “Well well, that is a long time, I have a house in Bruma, if still there, it has actually been a while since I have been home, I suppose its sad I cant find my way around.” watching her he could tell she was unsure of him, alright that was fine with him, he was open-minded she most likely had a reason for acting in such a way, all he could do was keep his own mind calm and body language non-threatening. He watched her with her blade calmly but then just smiled and gave a polite nod pulling his coat over his blade, basically it wasn’t at-the-ready anymore, for now.
He watched her a little while longer before walking a little closer then passing her he used his hand to shied his eyes from the sun and looked around. “How I managed to loose the trail, I am going to blame on the morning snow” he smirked silently swaying lightly in his relaxed steps.

She tensed up as he walked near her. As much as she wanted to just end his life now, she willed herself not to. This man had done her no harm. " If you would kindly step further away... I... I'm not to fond of Imperials... or men... and you are both... uh... obviously... A-Anyway. I can help you back to the trail that leads to Bruma..." She did feel better about the fact that he had covered his sword though. Meaning for now he was no threat for now. What if he had friends near by? She growled at herself Really? What's the possibility of that?! Chill Illusion. she said to herself. Sometimes she wondered why she was always so distrusting, but then the though of her homeland and her mother always reminded her, making her even colder. Laying that aside, What had this man done to her? Nothing. That's what.

The sun now in the sky the birds started to sing and a bit of other animal life could be heard going on around the nearby trees and forest. My what a day this could be, maybe he should forget Bruma, head up to some nice place, had to be a Inn around here somewhere right? Or camp out on one of the higher peeks and spend the night looking over this whole country. The nights here were always amazing, but then again he found his mind wondering and snapped back to reality. Oh right he needed to get back home if it hadn’t been broken into or sold off thinking it had been abandoned. He shook his head silently at the thought and looked towards her again his strange feline friend.
“Oh?” he asked then smiled instead of letting it bother him he chuckled. “I am sorry you feel that way, I could apologize for being that, of witch you dislike, but I cannot really change that face” he smiled and waved it off dismissing the idea, he didn’t fid it offensive at all, however he didn’t really see any problems himself with any races or genders, to each their own, he liked to think. Judge naught any mass upon the shoulders of one man. He always told himself then sighed inwardly, he was really starting to sound like a old man, wasn’t he? He sighed. “thank you malady I would appreciate that, and I will also keep your personal space in mind.” he stated with a soft but somewhat gruff voice.

"thank you... now... this way." She said as she started to walk off. He was quiet a ways iff of the trail. She guessed the Nord earlier got him turned around.
Somewhere along the trip, Illusion started feeling uneasy. Like there was some one near by that wanted her dead. She stopped, dropping down in to a sneak as she un buckled her blade again. " Stay here... I maybe just loosing my mind... but I think there is something out there..."
