Falcan chuckled at the comments made about her and the elf she knew once. “if it means anything, I am not sure how my body will age, if I will live longer, but look it, or neither’ he shrugged lightly and smirked. “I’ll be sure to tell you” he smirked with a light nod he closed his eyes a second and took another drink from his glass.
He watched her with a light smile. “it was my father’s he had it made specialty for one of my birthdays.” he nodded. “pure silver so it will work on vampires and spirits. Its also blessed by the churches, with a few fortify spells as well, but I am not a mage, I often forget what kind” he smirked lightly then sucked in a deep breath. “It kills rats pretty well too” he stated then glanced toward her wondering if she would catch his drift. “You cant have it.” he smirked. “but I’ll loan it to you. Besides, it just makes my load so heavy” he scratched the back of his neck. “I’ll be back for it though, he smirked, so perhaps will also give me a reason to visit, maybe buy you all dinner again” he smirked.
Clearly Falcan Nightroad was to kindhearted, often mistaken for a fool, and who knew this girl could pawn it soon as he turned around, but it was the fact he was letting her take it that he hoped would not let her, but then again…..one never knew. Well it made him feel good inside to be nice, so? Whatever then….
Something seemed to capture his attention though, a stranger entered the Bloated Float. The stranger simply walked over to a table and started ordering and minding his own. Falcan observed the man a little before turning his head away. That man, Falcan felt he needed to keep the man from seeing his face as he got a little nervous of the man in the corner. Wondering what could happen if the stranger walked over? Falcan tried to push aside those thoughts and smiled lightly. “so do you mind taking care of it for me?” he asked a little less enthusiastic then before but still with a faint smile.

It was pretty easy to spot the moments when Lettie went from joking around to being serious, and if you looked closely you could just see the moment the penny dropped, just after Falcan said that the knife killed rats well. She stared at him as he finished his offer; since meeting him only a short time ago her opinion of him had swung from wariness to dislike to comradeship. Now she was beginning to wonder if he was a fool.
Of course, her instinct was to take the knife, smile along, then sell it to the first person who’d take it. The profit from a weapon like this could buy her several plain, simple daggers, and probably buy her and her family food for a month. When he came back for it, she’d just shrug and tell him she lost it somewhere; he’d know she was lying, but she’s a thief, what did he expect?
And yet some part of her told her not to. She didn’t know why; she’d had fools entrust her precious things before. But he cared enough about your family to buy you food, the thought occurred to her, and he didn’t treat you like an animal. So she made a compromise with herself. She’d keep it as long as she could, for honour’s sake or something, but it’d always be there to be pawned off next time they needed the money badly enough.
“Thanks,” she said after the long pause taken to come to this conclusion, “but you do realise you’re insane, right?” She picked up the bag made of sacking she used for carrying things around, and put the knife inside, before anyone else could see it. It was probably best not to tell Marc about it, as she suspected he’d be much less compromising.
She too noticed the stranger walk in, but only because she hadn’t seen him round there before. But she saw Falcan look temporarily uncomfortable, so she said, considerably more quietly than she’d been speaking before, “D’you know him?”

He watched her silently a moment until she took it he smirked lightly leaning on his elbows on the bar. “of course I am.” he nodded but his shoulders relaxed. “I am part elf” he smirked it was common knowledge that elves sometimes just did strange things, though most of these were bosmri, he wasn’t really being technical about it. He turned his head slightly towards her. “I-’ he paused he knew the man’s face but he’d seen so many people in his lifetime, helping people to fighting bandit’s the man could be anywhere in-between, but he defiantly knew that face. Only question he felt sick inside instead of a warm feeling that being around a old friend would bring.
“I do.” he nodded “but I am trying to place the face, you and your siblings….should stay away from him” he whispered, his feelings he got from people were rarely wrong… he picked up and tilted his glass his eyes glanced over to the table the stranger was at to find him gone. A small bit of relief rushed over him but then he gasped slightly dropping his glass to shatter, as he felt hot breath on his shoulder and someone whisper in his almost deaf left ear, “Remember me?“ It made his mussels tighten and his teeth clinch. Falcan swallowed and then eyes looked over to fallow the man whom sat beside him. Falcan did finely realize who he was.
The stranger sat and shook his head “sorry if I frightened you” he sighed and bent down to pick up the broken glass “I will pay for that” he stated to the bar keeper, whom seemed annoyed they broke a glass.
“so Nightroad, what have you been doing?” the man ordered a beer and glanced over Falcan and his company. “well they are to young to be your kids, make some new friends?” the stranger eyed them strangely. Falcan just nodded simply, back to being silent then took a drink from the new glass of water the tender gave him. “it has been a while Jacob Fairwell.” Falcan muttered with emotionless eyes. “ah wow gloomy as ever, with that dark cloud hanging over you your head will grow mushrooms” Jacob sighed.
Falcan glanced towards the others, he was uncomfortable, he was wondering if they were almost done but didn’t feel right to rush them if not.

Lettie jumped as Falcan dropped his glass, shattering it against the uneven tiles. “Hey! Why’d you...?” she started to ask the man speaking with Falcan, but it seemed the two did know each other, and probably not in a good way. Many of the people in the room were watching the two with cautious fascination, hoping for a brawl to spice up the evening. One person even shouted “Sock ‘im one!” without having heard any of the twos’ conversation.
Aldric, already on his fourth tankard of ale and looking somewhat red in the face, took the glass breaking as his cue to march in and save the day. He swaggered over, and said loudly to the man known as ‘Jacob Fairwell’ “Now, what exactly is going on here?” He put his arm protectively round Lettie, who was also going scarlet. “I will have no ffflying glass around my baby sister.”
Lettie peeled his arm off her shoulder, giving him a little push in the direction of Marc. “Uh, Aldric, I think I’m fine over here...” But he interrupted her saying dramatically “I demand an esp...expan...explanation!”
While Marc took over from Lettie trying to persuade their brother to drop it, Lettie muttered to Falcan “Who in Oblivion is this?”
((Yeh, I know Aldric’s gotten drunk in like 10 minutes, but I just thought this’d be amusing and I'm interested to see how 'Jacob' is gonna react))

Falcan opened his mouth to say something but before words even made is past his lips Aldric started talking with slurred words and walked over putting his arm around his sister, this would have amused Falcan if Jacob wasn’t here. Jacob seemed just as taken back but then let out a loud laugh.. “well son, I will try not and allow any glasses to go flying her way, alright Fal?” he playfully punched Falcan in the arm, the blond just ignored him. “explanation?” Jacob blinked dumbly and looked around at the eyes on them. “oh, Falcan and I are old drinking buddies he grinned pulling an arm around Falcan’s shoulders.
Falcan glanced towards Lettie at her reaction, he didn’t really expect any less. “he is……” he paused. “like he said.” he sighed lightly and looked downward, clearly it wasn’t the truth but he didn’t know what to tell her, the truth? This man had been harassing him a while now……
“actually because you want to protect your little sister, boy.” Jacob looked at Aldric.. “I’ll tell you the truth.” the Imperial grinned. Falcan blinked and sent a small glare toward him. “you should keep your sister away from this man here” he roughly put a hand on Falcan’s head. “he is dangerous…..you see, I am a vampire hunter and I have reasons to believe--”
Jacob didn’t get to finish, Falcan has had enough, he stood up eyes closed for a brief moment before he twisted and hammered the man’s face with one nice solid blow from his fist Jacob found himself falling back a few extra feel then landing flat on his back. A few other people started gasping and looking almost afraid while the others were routing them on. Falcan simply grabbed his things from the stool and left slamming the door behind him. It took a Jacob a good five minuets to get back then spat some blood from his mouth and started outside after him.

Both Lettie and Aldric looked momentarily confused as Jacob seemed to insinuate that Falcan was a vampire, but the feeling didn’t last very long as it was replaced by shock at Falcan’s reaction. Marc swore, Theo copied him, and Marc promptly smacked him round the head. Aldric, unsure of how to react, followed Lettie out after Jacob and Falcan. Several others deserted their drinks to watch the fight, the anticipated brawl apparently having begun. The owner, Ormil, tried to call a few people back, but gave up when he realised they obviously were more interested in the fight than his cheap ale.
Lettie stood about six feet away, wondering whether or not to jump in. She wasn’t even sure if they’d keep on fighting, though based on the crowd’s (and Aldric’s) cheers of ‘Fight! Fight! Fight!’ she expected they would. She put her hand round the grip of the dagger Falcan had given her just seconds ago; she wasn’t going to stab anyone that easily, but it was nice to have it there.
A rookie Imperial Watchman noticed the scene from afar, but decided it was more than his job was worth to break up a Waterfront brawl at this time of evening, when plenty of folks were just inebriated enough to keep fighting, but sober enough to be able to.

Falcan had gone outside for some fresh air in his lungs taking a deep breath he gave a light sigh and looked down. “Falcan!” Jacob called his made. Falcan looked towards the man with a light sigh, about to apologize for hitting him even before he could say anything Jacob punched him right under the jaw sending Falcan staggering back some, gasped then groaned and spit out a little blood. “alright we are even now” Falcan growled rubbing where he’d been hit.
“Falcan, I know you are protecting that vampire I have been after the past month, is it true you lure people in she feeds on them?” the vampire hunter growled. Falcan’s eyes narrowed. “Stop protecting her Nightroad I WILL find her” the man bellowed and readied to hit Falcan again even thought the blond didn’t want to fight. “she is a blood thirsty---” Falcan turned away then as Jacob grabbed his shoulder Falcan twisted grabbed the man’s shoulders, kneed him in the gut firmly then shoved him back. Jacob couldn’t take a hint….
“that woman, regardless what she is I will protect!” Falcan finely shouted back, Jacob growled and swung at him again, Falcan blocked a punch to his face with his forearm. , a kick to the shin with his knee, he was able to guard against most of the blows, until Jacob managed a first hit to Falcan’s stomach, coughing a little and moves a tad slower he got his a few more times before sliding back and panting. He glared up. “maybe you are turning into a vampire, has she---” before the hunter could finish Falcan grabbed the man’s shirt, grabbed his belt and hefted him up as high as he could he man shouting and squirming, then with a loud splash, Falcan threw him off the docks “no” the Halfling panted then spat out a little more blood before leaning slightly on a pole near the docks. “some people need to grow up…” he scratched his neck.

The loud splash as Jacob hit the water was the signal the rookie guardsman needed to at least get marginally involved. He marched over, hand on the hilt of his silver sword, and, loudly to cover his nervousness, said to the crowd “Come on now, disperse.” When everyone stubbornly stayed, laughing at the Imperial in the docks, the guard added “Unless you all want to spend the night in a prison cell together then I’d suggest you disperse!” A couple of streetwalkers retorted that that might not be such a threat, but in general everyone decided not to argue further. The fight seemed to be over, and there were drinks waiting for them.
While the guard offered a hand to the water sodden Jacob, Lettie held up one of her many-callused palms for Falcan to high five. “That. Was. Awesome. F*cking vampire hunters – they all think they’re the Nine’s gift to the world.”
She paused, remembering his rage at the accusations the man had been making. “Are you alright?” she asked, all her boisterousness stripped away for a second or so.

Falcan panted some tuning out the crowd and the guard really, his eyes then looked upon Lettie cheering for him he smirked slightly and shook his head lightly. “I don’t like fighting other people” he sighed faintly, he only fought other human-noids when it was needed didn’t mean he liked it, and Falcan could easily strike any man down, but really he didn’t see this man worth the blood and time to kill. But at least no one was hurt right? Well other then a few bruises Falcan may have later on. He smirked again and nodded “I am alright.” he informed her. He glanced over at the guard pulling Jacob out of the water, groaning and cursing like a sailor, he started to shout and struggle with words that most would consider nonsense.
“sorry about all that” Falcan spoke to her and her kin. He brushed some messy hair out of his eyes and gave a weak sigh. “but I haven’t been that annoyed in a while” he smirked and looked at Lettie lightly reaching up and ruffling her hair. He was starting to hurt the vampire hunter maybe foolish but he was no push over that was for sure, also why Falcan thought it best when he ended the fight he way he did, hopefully the hunter would take the hint instead of coming back later.
He knew Lettie most likely had more questions now. He gave a faint chuckle and a smirk. “this friend of mine, she is a Vampire.’ he nodded wondering what the reaction would be, sometimes you met people who thought they were all monsters, when others didn’t know, while some thought it could go either way.

Lettie noticed the blood around the edges of his mouth and said “D’you want something for that?” She began to search in her bag, saying as she did so “I mean Aldric knows his healing spells, but I don’t think you’d want him sticking his fingers in yer mouth, ‘specially not tonight.” In the background, Marc could be seen trying to lead his younger brother away from the bar and to a barrel of water to stick his head in, whilst simultaneously trying to keep his even younger brother away from said barrel.
Lettie found what she was looking for; a small bottled healing potion. “Here y’go,” she said, handing it over, “I got it off some adventurer type. He said he...” She stopped midsentence when Falcan dropped the bombshell about his friend. Well, perhaps bombshell is a slight hyperbole, but it certainly stopped her talking for a few seconds.
“Wow,” she said eventually, “I thought he was lying, trying to get you riled up.” That was generally how fights worked as far as she was concerned, make up whatever about a person’s family, past or honour for the sake of a punch. Still a little lost for what to say, yet still not one for subtlety, she mumbled “Um... so does she kill people?”

Falcan looked towards her a light smile and whipped his mouth then blinked at the potion and lightly shook his head with a smirk and took it. “thanks Lettie” he nodded. He took a small drink then put the cork back in and closed his eyes a little while before sucking in a deep breath.. Lettie seemed surprised, seemingly a it also unsure what to say. Heck he was too. “he was, he lied about everything else though” he nodded of course they could believe him or not, what could he do about it?
He brushed his hair back and scratched his head. “no she doesn’t” he stated.. “you see, even I have killed people but not under a passion for it, self defense, she is the same a I, I suppose, if that makes any since” he sighed, she wasn’t one of the wild vampires the animals he’d slayed before. She also fed, but never turned anyone that he knew of, and never killed anyone unless they bothered her first and it was a last course of action, it was weird he didn’t think about it as often as he might should have….of course if she did kill people after feeding on them, why was he still here? He blinked a moment staring off into space and felt the heat rush to his face.
He gave a scoff and cleared his throat. “she is one of the good kind” he nodded, now feeling a strong since of longing……….darn he sure did miss her now, but at least he knew she was fine, if this hunter came all the way here looking for him, Falcan gave a light sigh. “I suppose you may think I am foolish?” he smirked pondering……foolish, of course he was, gave a thief a dagger, friends with a vampire (maybe more), always getting himself in trouble and helping others whom don’t even thank him sometimes……but this was just his way of living.
[ooc; sorry little drab, ive not been able to get a good rest in a while so ^^;;]

Alessandra had decided on a walk thru the city this eve while she was home. She hadn’t been home in the city for some time; she was having issues with vampire hunters lately. It doesn’t help that she decided she needed some rest, and found a nice dark remote place no one ever ventures too. Well at least she thought no one ventured too. She was sleeping avoiding the hunter’s when she was rudely awoken by some mage’s guild adventurer looking for ingredients. He attacked her and she killed him. Well that didn’t work out too well, she had left the body when she left her small hiding place. They sent someone after the man she killed; too see what happened to him no doubt. And know vampire hunters were everywhere.
She had killed two hunters that were chasing her, it scared off some of them, but a few were still hounding on her, not getting close mind you. But enough o make her nervous, she wasn’t really a loner anymore like she used to be. She gave a small smile to her thoughts and nodded to a guard, as she made her way down to the waterfront. Her dress was plain and simple a dark green, her cloak was dark as well. She nodded to a few of the thieves that ran rampant down here. They knew her and knew her well. They left her pretty much alone. Once in a while she would get a new young thief who would try and steal from her, they never did so again.
She was wondering along the shore line of the district, just enjoying the sounds of the lake. She stopped a moment when she heard a small commotion being carried out behind her… the bloated float. She turned and wondered what had gotten the people of the waterfront all riled up this late in the evening. She got up over the small archway and started down the stairs when she saw Falcan. She saw him storm out of the bloated float, with a man on his heels, and she recognized his kind right away, a vampire hunter. She let out a small sneer, and then it sobered quite a bit when she heard the argument. She almost chocked on her breathe when he insinuated that Falcan brought her victims. They were starting to connect him to her. She fingered the end of her thickly braided hair that was over her shoulder, nervously as she watched the fight and anxious. She would gladly love to kick the vampire hunter’s arse, but she would let Falcan do it. His comment brought a smile to her face. She laughed out loud as Falcan tossed the hunter into the lake. She would have applauded but that would get way to much attention on her part. She started to walk down towards Falcan, and smirked when she saw four young ones approach Falcan.
Alessandra raised an eyebrow as he told her that she was a vampire. She figured it was as good as time as any to introduce herself. “I see you’ve made of friends, and are giving away all my dirty little secrets.” By her tone, body language and the smile on her face as she lowered her cloak hood gave away that she was entirely joking.

Lettie shrugged, looking thoughtful in a way she usually covered up with bravado. “Foolish? Yeah, p’rhaps. But aren’t we all? I spit in guards’ faces, you make friends with...” She was cut off by the arrival of a newcomer to their conversation, and it seemed not a moment too soon. Judging by what she said, she seemed to be the vampire Falcan had been telling her of, and she doubted she would have taken kindly to the next word she would have said, which would have been ‘bloodsuckers’.
“Oh, um,” she said, irritated at how she was lost for words, “hello.” Ok, so this lady was technically dead but also alive and drank living thing’s blood to survive. That didn’t mean she couldn’t be friendly. “I’m Lettie,” she said, though she refrained from holding out a hand to shake, “me an’ Falcan met in prison." This was a little blunt, but that was how Lettie did things.
A splashing noise filled the quiet of the night as Marc finally managed to dunk Aldric’s head in the barrel of cold water to try and sober him up. Aldric struggled and swore through the water, but although he was considerably taller than Marc, his older brother had more strength. Theo clapped his hands, and Lettie grinned. Now the potential danger that was Jacob was out the way, she could be amused by her drunken brother.

He felt kind of odd telling Lettie about her, but found that it maybe easier to give minor details rather then have his loyalty questioned? Or something like that. He scratched the back of his head. He smirked faintly. “if its something that I couldn’t run out of its foolishness” he chuckled faintly and sucked in a deep relaxing breath, well at least Jacob was gone, hopefully all was at peace. Or at least stay that way a little longer. He was about to try and think of something to say again opening his mouth no words came out as he heard a voice he knew all to well.
“Alessandra!?” he gasped twisting on one foot to look at her, the timing was almost to good, he blinked a few times, and just started at her as if it was some illusion, he then waved his hands. “n-no I was….what-what are you doing here?” he asked trying to stay clam, but she kind of surprised him. He felt the heat rushing over his cheeks and cursed it inwardly. Then Lettie just tossed out there that Falcan was in prison, surely she would know that it was mostly likely a misunderstanding but then why did he feel so weird, and embarrassed!? “Yes a new friend of mine..” he nodded at the theif girl then towards Alessandra. “this is my close friend Alessandra.” he stated then paused, close, wait should he had said that? They might get the wrong idea? But was it the wrong idea? Dang it! He kicked himself mentally.
He was able to shrug away the redness to his cheeks now and breathed deeply. “I am surprised to see you here” he smiled calmly now, as if back to his former stature again. Weird when she first came around and now back to his mostly normal self. “its nice to see you, what are you doing around here?” he asked hoping that didn’t sound rude, he was just curious.

Alessandra smiled at Lettie, the little girl was cute in a way. She gave Falcan a strange look nothing mean just strange, it was confusion. when he asked her what she was doing here. “why Falcan, M’dear I told you I lived here didn’t i? my home is in the temple district… didn’t I tell you?” she was throughly confused at the moment , but that changed quickly. Quickly changed to a cross between concern and humor.
“how did you end up in prison?” she asked with a strange inqusitive look. Her red eyes were dancing amused. She smiled softly then after he introduced them as close friends, and his own reaction to his words and her presence was endearing. She then raised and eyebrow at falcan when he asked what she was doing here.
“I was enjoying the night Falcan, and taking a walk in the waterfront… I like listening to the waves on the tide…” like the night I meet you she added to herself.
she tilted her head with a humorous smile as she saw three siblings one cheering while the other dunked one’s head in a barrel of water. (ooc: ugh god i am sorry its so short...i am pressed for time i will fix when i get back...later or if you can reply to it go ahead)
