The most noticeable feature of the palace is the White Gold Tower. The palace is strictly guarded by elite Palace Guards, who advise visitors to maintain quiet at all times, and not to enter any floor above the second.

The Fringe is a large, walled area in the west of The Shivering Isles, on the coast of the Emean Sea. Adventurers entering Sheogorath's realm start in The Fringe, but are not free to explore the Isles at this point, because the only way out is to defeat a gargantuan beast known as The Gatekeeper, or "wait until the blessing of Sheogorath takes root", in other words, go mad.

Located on the south side of New Sheoth, in Dementia. This murky area of town has a lot of rundown houses. Crucible is guarded by the Dark Seducers and ruled by Syl, the Duchess of Dementia.

| Palace of Sheogorath
Like the city of New Sheoth and the Isles themselves, it is equally divided into Mania and Dementia halves. The curious distinction here being that the dividing line separating the two can easily be seen running exactly down the center of the room and through Sheogorath's throne. And on each site the Houses of Mania and Dementia.
